My 2017 New Year’s resolution is to play one game of Words With Friends with each cast member of Friends. As a perk, the Friend with the highest score will have the opportunity to join me for coffee in New York.

To make this happen, I’m going to need your help. This endeavor is like a litmus test for the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. The idea is in today’s world we are all connected by just three or four degrees of separation.

For example, you might have a friend, who has a friend, who has a friend who is a Friend! Share and tweet and let’s find find out.

It began in 2009, when I asked myself, “If I could have a beer with anyone, who would it be?” The answer came quickly, Richard Branson. Being the interweb nerd that I am, I discovered beerwithbranson.com was available and an idea was born.

In 2010 I launched my New Year’s resolution to have a beer with Richard Branson. After more than four years of patience and persistence it came true in May 2014.

My belief is that we all answer questions like this, maybe it’s a beer, or maybe it’s bocce ball. Maybe it’s a new business or community engagement. I strive to adopt Richard’s own mantra of, “Screw it, let’s do it.”
